Privacy policy
Last updated 5 October 2026
RadioFuse is designed to collect as little as possible. You never create an account. Your favourites and listening history stay on your device. This policy explains the limited data involved when you use the app and this website.
Who we are
RadioFuse is operated as RadioFuse. For privacy questions, use our support portal.
What stays on your device
- Your favourite stations, recently played stations and recent searches.
- Your settings, such as appearance, sleep timer, near-you country and stream preferences.
- Whether you dismissed the "get the app" strip on this website.
This data is stored locally (for example in your browser's local storage or the app's private storage). We cannot see it. Clearing site data or deleting the app removes it.
Station directory (Radio Browser)
To show and search stations, the app and website send requests to Radio Browser, a public, community-run directory. When you start a station, we may tell Radio Browser that the station was played so its popularity stays accurate. These requests contain your search terms or the station identifier and, like any internet request, your IP address. They do not contain an account identifier for you.
Audio streams
Audio plays directly from each broadcaster's own server. That broadcaster receives your IP address and basic device information when you listen, under its own privacy policy. RadioFuse does not proxy, record or store any audio.
Advertising on the website (AdSense)
This website may show quiet display ads through Google AdSense. AdSense can use cookies and similar technologies to show, measure and limit ads, and (where allowed) to personalise them. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland we ask for your consent first through a consent management platform before non-essential cookies or personalised ads run. If you decline, we aim to show limited or no personalised advertising.
Google's use of data is described in its partner sites policy. You can also use Google's ad settings to review personalisation.
Advertising in the app (AdMob)
The mobile app is free and may show ads through Google AdMob. About once a month the app may offer a short rewarded video: watch one, and the app stays ad-free for 30 days. AdMob may use device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), IP address and app interaction data to show, measure and limit ads. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent first. If you decline, only limited, non-personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice under Settings → Privacy & ads.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's system settings.
Analytics (Umami)
This website may use Umami, a self-hosted, cookieless analytics tool we run ourselves. It records basic page views and a few product events (for example play, favourite and search) without setting an analytics cookie and without storing a personal profile. We do not use Google Analytics. Because Umami does not rely on tracking cookies, we do not show a separate analytics cookie banner for it.
Analytics is optional at the infrastructure level: the script loads only when we have configured it for a deployment. Your browser's "Do Not Track" preference is honoured.
Cookies and similar technologies
- Essential storage for preferences you set on this site (for example theme or dismissed banners).
- Consent and advertising cookies from Google (AdSense) when ads are live and you allow them in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland. Ads still need that consent even though analytics does not.
- No analytics cookies from Umami.
Our fonts are served from this website, so loading a page does not send your IP address to a font provider.
Children
RadioFuse is a general-audience product and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly request personalised ads for children.
Your rights (EU / GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you have rights under the GDPR and related laws, including to access, correct, delete or restrict personal data, to object to certain processing, and to data portability where it applies. Because we keep no account profile, most requests can be handled on your device by clearing local data. For anything else, or questions about this policy, contact us through our support portal. You can also complain to your local data protection authority; in the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for meaningful changes, mention it in the app or on this site.
